ooc: Welcome to the first Gathering of CK! Feel free to post as if your characters are talking with others, you can interact with any character in or out of your clan. We also have an announcement. An activity contest! The top three posters will win a bust drawing of a cat of their choice from Dizzy! Thanks Dizzy! All of us staff are so thankful to each of you. I hope you all enjoy the first gathering! ic: The island, normally devoid of cats, had many travelers as the golden-red moon hung high in the sky. The shadowy figures making their way towards a rather large tree with a rock below it. It seemed like four groups of cats, lead by a single cat in the front. One was a cinnamon tabby bobtail, scars visible in the moonlight. Another was a silvery tabby with faded gray markings, sleek and graceful. Then the other was another silvery tabby, strong and confident. The final was a cream and lilac tabby with long fur. The four cats were held in high regard. The groups broke off and began to intermingle, cats sharing tongue. Friends from other clans finally able to share the past moons adventures before it began. Each of the leaders seemed to share tongues as well. Each of them seemed civil with each other, tension between certain ones visible. The Gathering would soon begin, the feeling of unease heavy in the air as cats spoke of the golden-red color of the moon. They hoped that this meeting would not be different from the ones before. wordstagged

| WISTERIAGAZE See me in a new light Paws of faded silver starlight would carry the serene yet clearly young Lunarclan leader as she led her clan into the sandly clearing of The Island. Her heather blue gaze was poised, a warmth within them that was normally reserved for her clanmates glittered lightly as she scanned the clearing and the other clans before them. Taking a silent deep breath, Wisteriastar would look over her shoulder to her deputy and clanmates, nodding once as a silent dismissal before moving towards the entwined trees. She remembered the first time Moonstar had showed her this place, how even back then it had felt sacred. She still did not feel worthy to stand here as a leader. But her unease was nowhere to be seen on her face as she climbed her way up to the branch Moonstar had previously claimed and looked yo see if any of the other leaders were already perched. Perhaps Dipperstar would be here soon and they could chat a bit before the Gathering was to start. // Lunarclan is here now! Female - 16 Moons - Warrior - speech |

"Red moon tonight." Owlstar comments to Willowdream as they approach the Island. This would be their first Gathering without Sagerunner, and as if to compensate for the curious looks he would get until he made the fateful announcement, the mountains' leader draws himself to his full height as he leads his delegation into the clearing. Glancing upwards, yellow eyes narrow at the sight of Wisteriastar perched atop her branch: the kit-leader had arrived first, it would seem. No matter. Parting from his Clanmates, Owlstar claws his way up the tree to his usual perch among the boughs to await the other Clans.
// borealisclan is free to post! other clans will notice that sagerunner, the borealisclan medicine cat, is absent.

| THE UNIVERSE MUST HAVE DIVINED THIS. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? |
The leader of SolarClan was outwardly calm and collected, acting as if she had been doing this for moons. However she was nervous inwardly. Her heart was racing, every fiber of her being was telling her to run back home, be with her clanmates there. Yet, tonight she needed to be the level-headed leader they could depend on. With a swift flick of her ear, the cinnamon felid dismissed her warriors, medicine cat, and deputy to mingle with the others. Dipperstar padded forward, regarding all of the other leaders with a kind tone.
"Greetings, Wysteriastar, Owlstar, and Periwinklestar. Owlstar, I've noticed that you are without a medicine cat. Is Sagerunner alright?" She questioned calmly, looking at the medicine cats that were there. She then turned to Wysteriastar and began to whisper to her friend. "Wys, seems smaller than it has in moons huh? And BorealisClan without a medicine cat? Do you think that moon is a omen of bad times?"
Dipperstar only spoke to the silver tabby regarding this as she knew that Wysteriastar was just as nervous as she was about all of this and hopefully about the moon's coloring as well. She waited for the others to speak now.

60 moons - She/Her - Deputy of Borealisclan Willowdream dipped her head in mute agreement to her leader's words, her icy gaze watchful as she surveyed the other clans present before sitting at the base of the large tree with her plumed tail wrapped around her paws. She was largely unconcerned by the reddish moon, secure in her faith that Astralclan would have alerted the leaders or medicine cats had anything been truly wrong. Her cold eyes warned the younger members of Borealisclan to behave themselves or face the consequences; likely a stern lecture and several unpleasant duties in their future. Her large and fluffy figure was well known to be a blunt and emotionless conversationalist, so she wouldn't be surprised if she was left to her own devices during the gathering.

Quietseed picks their way across the clearing with their usual leggy grace, silver eyes casting around for a familiar blue-and-cream pelt. Coming up with nothing, they pause, and allow a small sense of satisfaction to wash over them. No Sagerunner. Had he been caught, then? Or, maybe, he'd poisoned himself with the juniper berries they'd sent him back to BorealisClan with. That accidentally squished berry among the leaf parcel had been a deathberry, after all.
Uninterested in socialising, LunarClan's medicine cat apprentice takes their place with the other healers, though notes they're the first to do so. Were the others too busy flapping their jowls with common warriors? Quietseed rolls their eyes. AstralClan above, they'd never get started at this rate.

Being here isn't really what he wanted– surprising, right? Between his tirelessly asocial nature and his inherent self-depreciation, Mirepath hasn't made the most friends throughout the other clans. Or even within his own. Still, he's here for a reason. His one pale eye sweeps the clans, seeking out what familiar faces he can find. In its stead– a glaringly obvious hole. His tail flicks. The medic peels away from EventideClan with one last nudge to their leader, a farewell that says keep an eye out for me, okay? and please don't leave me to be torn apart if I mess this up. Very comforting, truly. He means to find Owlstar, but– it's no surprise he's not fast enough to catch the leader before their ascent. Quietseed is a decent enough replacement.
"You look like you know something." Thoughtful and curious but not necessarily pointedly so, Mirepath tilts his head and narrows his eyes to study the apprentice. "Am I going to get to learn the details, or is this some grand secret of yours?" He even smiles.

As request of Rev, Mire was never a medicine cat. I will be ignoring his post, unfortunately, since he left the discord. EventideClan may now post!! //
PeriwinkleStar had led his clan to the beautiful island, the trees overhead casting shadows upon them. But the pink moon was slightly confusing, he had never seen something prettier. A hue, that made him feel a little lighter to look at. His pelt hung heavy on his shoulders from emerging through the lake, but the weight of the stress of being without a medicine cat and a deputy made his shoulders ache. He was afraid to look weak. To look like he wasn't trying, but he wouldn't talk about it. They may be struggling in ranks, but they held themselves together in strength and character.
He would make it seem like ease to climb the great tree to his branch, remembering the days of having to do this when chased by dogs or nasty twolegs. He paused, closed his eyes for a moment, as if stuck in memories, before continuing. There would be a lot to explain when he got up there. And he wasn't exactly keen on explaining it all. Alas, he would be faced with questions, and most would remain unanswered.
As he approached the leaders, he brought a huge grin to his face and set a soaked tail upon his paws. "Greetings comrade," he responded back to Dipperstar, a dip of his head. He had caught the comment of being without a medicine cat towards Borealisclan, and gave a slight shake of his head. "If it was a bad omen, ah do feel as if the would not be as nice as a pink moon, alas, ah am starstruck to see such a fine thing lighting the sky." His voice was as enunciated as could be, but he still left many words hanging. It wasn't lazy, he just spoke like that comfortably. Insecure about it, but he'd be damned to change it.

Milkspeckle trots after his apprentice with a slightly nervous but kind smile directed at anyone who approaches him, the dim light of the reddish moon not nearly enough for his weak eyes to make out any details in the crowd. It's only when he gets all the way over to Quietseed that he realizes the other healers are missing. He blinks and squints around as though wondering if he'd wandered to the wrong area before sitting next to his apprentice with a curious tilt of his head. "Can you see any of the others?" he questioned softly. He'd needed to use the leggy medicine cat to supplement his own failing vision more times than he'd care to admit, and he could only hope that Quietseed knew that Milkspeckle valued him for more than just his eyes.
